Basic Home Plumbing Introduce students to the popular and lucrative plumbing trade with this fun and challenging module. Following the step-by-step instructions with detailed graphics, students use basic hand tools to assemble and install real plumbing fixtures, fittings, and pipes on the Modern Shower and Sink Trainers. In the process, students explore basic features of home plumbing systems, including supply lines and drain systems. An ideal introduction to careers in this field, as well as a great educational tool for any future do-it-yourself home owner, our module also includes material on careers in plumbing, plumbing design, and the history of plumbing from ancient times to present. Students also have the chance to work with scale drawings and plumbing templates to plan and lay out a residential bathroom. Since students do not solder parts or apply caulk or putty to the trainers or any fixtures, all of the components can be easily disassembled
and used over and over again. This module will accommodate 7- or 10-day class rotations.
