One of our most popular modules, Computer-aided Design teaches students the fundamentals of CAD technology using AutoDesk’s well-known AutoCAD LT software program. Students can begin to see the power of this technology and understand its many uses in our everyday lives. After learning a variety of basic AutoCAD LT
commands and functions, students use the program to create a pattern for an envelope. They go on to plan and design a simple house, and then edit its structural design. To encourage creativity and extended exploration, later activities allow students to design their dream room and complete a project they select themselves. This curriculum will accommodate 7-, 10-, or 15-day class rotations.
