The Interchange Student Desk offers a large, stable work surface and the flexibility to be used as a solitary desk or clustered in groups up to four. Placing Interchange Single Student Desks opposite each other creates a two-student work group--close enough for effective interaction, but far enough aprt to give students their own space. The solid construction and the durable design stands up to any task. The 1-¼" thick high-pressure laminate work surface resists wear. The edge bumper is rounded for better ergonomics. It’s held secure in place with a staple every 8". A steel V brace welded to leg and mounting plate adds stability. Upper legs are made of 14-gauge steel protected with a durable powdercoat finish to resist wear. The chrome-plated lower legs are also consturcted of 14-gauge steel with sock-style glide caps that add protection. Unique telescoping oval tube legs adjust height in 1" increments--from 22 to 34". 1" adjustable leveling glides provide stability on uneven floors.
