Construction of these kits will introduce students to basic scientific concepts and aeronautical terminology. Starting with a short history of aviation, the teaching manual answers the question, Why do airplanes fly? by explaining Bernoulli’s Principle and examines the forces of lift, thrust, gravity and drag. Also included are vocabulary and curriculum enhancement activities.

Note: Each Class Kit contains all material to build 35 rubber band powered planes constructed of balsawood and paper. The student instruction booklet is bilingual (English/Spanish).
