SEEDS SOFTWARE Introduction to Airplane Design
Students learn about various scientific principles in order to understand how airplanes fly and to design one that will fly. Students apply scientific principles and see simulations of many important aerodynamic concepts. They use computer-aided design to analyze and design gliders and to predict glider performance. Topics include balance of forces, Bernoulli’s principle, centrifugal forces, density, energy, fluid, force, friction, geometric change, Newton’s laws of motion, moment or torque, pressure, speed and supersonics.

System Requirements: Macintosh computers with 25MHz or higher processor; System 6.0.5 or later; 3MB free disk space; 2.5MB RAM. IBM compatibles with 25 MHz or higher processor; Windows 3.1 with WIN32 extension or Windows 95/NT; 3MB free disk space; 8-16MB RAM.
