Celebrate a century of airplane flight with this fun and educational module! Students can explore the fundamental principles of aerodynamics, including Newton’s laws, Bernoulli’s Principle, lift, drag, and much more, as they complete interactive computer exercises, construct and fly paper airplanes, and experiment with the Modern Wind Tunnel. In addition, students have the chance to act as virtual pilots using Microsoft’s awardwinning Flight Simulator program and the Flight Sim Yoke to take off, fly, and land a Cessna 172SP Skyhawk airplane. The combination of computer-assisted instruction and hands-on exercises is sure to capture students’ interest and foster a greater understanding of the exciting world of aerodynamics and air travel. This curriculum will accommodate 7- or
10-day class rotations.
