Students shoot footage using the video
camera and then capture it to the computer
using Pinnacle Studio.
In almost every area of our lives, we are affected by media,
especially video. Television news, films, commercials,
music videos, and documentaries are just a few examples.
In this module, students have the opportunity to create
a compelling and effective message using the medium
of digital video. They identify the steps and participants
in the creative process and create three complete digital
video productions. Students assemble the elements in
a video editor and then copy their movie to CD. Later,
students learn how to create DVD productions. Throughout
this module, students are encouraged to experiment and
develop a creative eye, while they also build
their confidence and skill working with
computer technology.
This module can open doors to
careers in advertising and marketing,
entertainment, journalism, training,
and education. This curriculum will
accommodate 7-, 10-, or 15-day
class rotations.
