Octagons

The Shain Solutions Octagon is a proprietary product line that in only available through Modern School Supplies, Inc. These handsome, functional octagonal workstations enable up to 8 students to work collaboratively and conveniently access water, gas, data and electric services. Modern's octagonal workstations feature birch plywood side panels with mortise and tenon joint construction. The maple and birch plywood exteriors are not only durable and attractive but easy to keep clean. Unlike some melamine materials, our wood panels won't show dirt and wipe down easily with warm water and a little detergent.

Base units are made up of two main units. One unit is 24" wide with two 18" deep cabinets attached to either end of two common side panels, each 4' long. Two smaller base cabinets are attached in the center of this unit. Each measures 24" wide x 12" deep. For convenient storage, each cabinet opening is 26" high and 21" wide with one adjustable shelf. Cabinets are lockable. A 9" x 22" utility chase is located in the center of the base. Access is through the back panels of the cabinets and through the 14" diameter hole in the top. Base also includes a black vinyl toe kick protector. Overall measurement of base is 48"w x 48"d x 35"h (height without work surface).

Work top measures 72.44" wide with radiused edges. Electric and gas services are conveniently located in the middle of each work top, making services accessible to all seated at the workstation. An optional raised octagonal service turret can also be installed in the center of the octagon to house services.
