We typically process orders within 1-2 business days from the date it is placed. Shipping time depends on the shipping method you choose and product availability. Orders ship via United Parcel Service (UPS), Federal Express (FedEx), or USPS Priority Mail.
Shipping Methods & Estimated Shipping Times
We ship all orders to APO/FPO Addresses and US Territories via USPS Priority Mail. While most orders arrive in a timely manner, occasionally shipments may take 3-6 weeks. Business days exclude Saturdays, Sundays, and Major Holidays. Those are determined by the specific carrier.

Freight charges are F.O.B. our various distribution centers or drop ship point of origin (F.O.B. Manufacturer). All charges are prepaid by Modern and added to your invoice. Modern utilizes several shipping companies to find the most expedient and cost effective way to ship your order. Most common methods include FedEx and UPS ground services. Shipments exceeding FEDEX or UPS limits are sent by a trucking company available in your area. If you have special delivery instructions, please let us know at the time of your order. Next Day Air and Second Day Air services are also available upon request. Note: Materials defined by federal ICC regulations as hazardous (such as rocket engines) are subject to freight carriers' hazardous material surcharges, in addition to regular shipping costs. Modern will prepay all freight charges and add the actual amounts to your invoice. For example, if $50.00 is estimated for shipping and actual cost is $30.00, then you will only be invoiced $30.00. To estimate shipping charges, add an estimate of 10% to the total order amount for East Coast customers and an estimate of 15% for West Coast customers. Again, this is only an estimation.
We calculate our rates per shipment, based on package weight, package size, and travel distance. Orders that contain items that are drop shipped from the manufacturer, or items that are oversized, will not be quoted shipping charges on the website. Customer Service will contact you with a shipping estimation before your orders is processed and before funds are secured.
Occasionally, items in our Web catalog may be on backorder at the time you place your order. All backordered items are shipped as soon as possibleDue to limited inventory, clearance items may be out of stock and/or discontinued without notice. If adjustments must be made to your order, you will be notified via e-mail or telephone before your order is shipped. For more information on backorders, click here.
If a backordered item is cancelled we will credit your account the applicable ship charges (and any taxes if applicable on those items).
You can check your order status online anytime. If you have not received your order in 14 business days, please email us. USPS Priority Mail shipments containing larger packages may need to be picked up at the local carrier's facility instead of deliver to your home. We reserve the right to change or terminate any shipping offers or specials on any merchandise at our discretion at any time. We reserve the right to ship UPS, FedEx Ground, or USPS Priority Mail at our description on orders where shipping is Free.
We ship to addresses within the U.S. & Puerto Rico. We are unable to ship internationally at this time.
